Getting Your Dose of Vitamin D?

  • 2 min read

More and more people are getting less and less sunshine. Between spending hours online instead of outdoors, living in regions with harsh winters, frequent rains (sun scarcity), or just being too busy to get fresh air, there's reason to talk about Vitamin D. It's known as the "Sunshine Vitamin" after all.

Vegans and vegetarians are often deficient (since alternate sources of the Vitamin typically come from animal products), but we'd like to draw special attention in this post to women over 40.  We may have spent countless summer afternoons in our 20s bathing in the sun, but chances are things change a bit as we age. Our skin doesn't welcome direct sun quite like it used to, and lounging and leisure may have given way to all of life's responsibilities. That said, it's no excuse to skimp on this important vitamin for daily benefits.

Vitamin D plays a major part in bone and skin health through calcium absorption. It's been linked to serotonin levels in the brain and may inform mood. The vitamin supports the immune system and even offers inflammatory benefits. The list goes on and on.

So this begs the obvious question: If sun scarcity, lifestyle or other factors are leaving many people short of their recommended daily dose of Vitamin D, what's the best option?

It's time to check out our Vitamin D Spray. Pack it with you on the go and never worry. Depending on your healthcare professional's recommendation, you may need as little as one to two quick sprays and you're done! That's a whole lot easier than trying to shift an entire schedule to make time for direct sunlight. Our product is all natural and vegan-friendly!
