Stevia?

I really wanted to like this. I just am so concerned about the fact that it has Stevia in it I don’t understand why you would use an artificial sweetener or why needs a sweetener at all? The flavor is OK. But the sweetness comes across as artificial. It does blend. Well I’m going to give it one more chance. But I’m pretty sure I’ll be returning. Since there’s been advised not to consume Stevia.

Very impressed

I have tried dozens of protein powders. I am dairy free, so the choices are pretty minimal compared to whey protein options. I can’t believe how good the one tastes. It is hands down my favorite kind. There is ZERO chalky aftertaste. I even use 2 scoops in my shake to get a bit more protein in the morning, and it still doesn’t affect the taste. You will not be dissatisfied with this one!!

Best Protein Powder

This is the best protein powder I have used. I usually end up throwing away half a container of protein powders because I just can't finish them. This is the first protein that I have repurchased! I blend it in my smoothies, and I feel such a difference in how long I stay full when I use it. I don't think there is any funky taste or chalky texture. I've also added it to oatmeal and a few other baking treats and it always turns out great. I love that there are pre/probiotics as well. I would love a chocolate flavor!

The answer is it depends. While whey has an excellent amino acid profile, peas also have all essential amino acids and may be just as effective at building lean body mass and muscle. Peas also generally have less fat and cholesterol while being more nutrient-dense and environmentally friendly than whey.

It contains 300 mg of sodium per serving. While others may be lower, ours balances its sodium with other electrolytes. If sodium is an issue, ask your healthcare provider before starting any supplement.

While whole-food plants like soy and beans can cause gas due to high fiber, our pea protein isolate and chia seed fiber are unlikely to cause gas or bloating. However, excessive consumption of anything can cause gas, which is why we make sure our servings are properly portioned!

We used North American grown and processed Yellow peas. Peas are rare amongst plant-based options, containing all 9 essential amino acids and 3 BCAAs. Compared to green peas, yellow peas have less starch and aren’t as sweet tasting. Yellow peas also have more iron and magnesium than green peas.

Supplements can help you meet your nutrient needs during pregnancy, particularly if you are vegan, vegetarian, or experiencing nausea preventing you from eating. Kids will also love and benefit from it! If you have any questions, please contact your healthcare provider.

Our raw ingredients and finished product are rigorously tested for contaminants including heavy metals. Because of toxins like heavy metals, we only use peas grown and processed in North America. Peas that are grown and processed in other parts of the world may be heavily supported by chemicals and processed with solvents that may leave behind heavy metals. We only use trusted, well-regulated peas.

Everyone is unique and everyone’s health situation is different. For many people, adding supplements in place of higher calorie, less nutritious food is a great idea anytime of the day. In the morning will help keep you full into the day. After a workout can help supply crucial nutrients to rebuild muscles and burn fat. And finally, before bed may even help you sleep better!

It’s easy to confuse fructose with it’s super-sweet relative HFCS. High Fructose Corn Syrup is indeed terrible, especially in high concentrations and excessive amounts which is typically the case in the Standard American Diet where sodas, baked goods, and candy are prevalent. It’s true, most people are consuming way too much, and this may cause obesity, liver problems, diabetes, heart disease, and other issues. With little exercise and without tracking how much carbohydrate and sugar is being consumed daily, a lifestyle with a lot of sugar can certainly cause trouble for some people.

However, we also believe fructose derived from fruits or vegetables (where it naturally exists!), even a bit of raw honey or real cane sugar, and not from highly concentrated corn syrup, can have some health benefits, particularly when used in moderation and complemented with regular exercise. It can give us energy to power through our day and workouts and help hydrate us more optimally as it can assist fluid balance.

From a nutritional standpoint, the fructose in our protein blend is actually very minimal with the 2g of fiber cutting down the total glycemic load down to 3 g carbs, with 1g added sugar – much less than a mere teaspoon of sugar which is about 4.2g. The fructose we use is either sourced from beets or real cane sugar.
